FAQs, for those curious and inquiring minds of the DIY eJuice world who prefer a FAQ page over calling us to chat it up. We get it. Sometimes we don’t like phones either. Hopefully this feeds your curious inquires, but if not, please feel free to contact us!
What is the intended use of your concentrated flavorings?
Flavorah is intended for further processing in the manufacture of eliquids. Flavorah is not intended for use with nicotine (see below). Our DIY flavoring concentrates cannot be used directly in an personal vaporizer without first adding a flavorless vapor base, such as propylene glycol (PG), Vegetable Glycerin (VG) or a mix of PG/VG.
Is Flavorah intended for use with Nicotine?
No. Flavorah flavorings are so good, you don’t need it. But if you do use nicotine, we recommend synthetic nicotine to keep your juice tobacco free.
What makes Flavorah different than other concentrated flavorings?
Our flavoring lineup is composed 100% of vapor flavorings specifically formulated for use in eliquid. Each flavoring has been built from the ground up for vapor – not beverage, not candy, not baking – that is why they taste better, mix stronger, and stand up to more rigorous standards.
Why Does Flavorah Cost so much?
Concentration level. Flavorah is more concentrated than other flavorings that were used in the past because it is made for vapor. With our high concentration level, you will actually have more flavoring at your fingertips per dollar (or pound, or euro) than with a multi-purpose flavoring. This high concentration also unlocks max VG recipes that are unattainable with typical multi use flavorings.
What compounds are in Flavorah?
Flavorah uses a proprietary list of over 39 eliminated compounds that may be unsafe for inhalation. To our knowledge, no independent studies have been conducted which document the safety of these flavors in a vaping environment or in e-cigarettes. We expect that these studies will be forthcoming, but until they are released, we make no representation or warranty as to the safety of vape flavors when used for ejuice and vaping or in e-cigarettes. Further, there is no FDA approved list of flavorings or compounds certified for vapor and we make no claims as such.
Are you planning to register your flavorings after the FDA’s “Deeming” regulations take effect August 8th, 2016?
Yes. Flavorah flavors are compounded in a facility that is already FDA inspected for food. Our flavorings that are packaged for use by manufacturers of eliquids will be registered in the FDA Unified Registration and Listing System (FURLS) and an ingredient master file will be submitted to the FDA for manufacturers to reference. We anticipate supporting our customers who embark down the Premarket Tobacco Application (PMTA) process over the next two years. We encourage everyone with an ejuice business to stick with it…don’t quit just because big pharma lobbyists and the government is against you. Submit a flood of PMTAs.
I am subject to EU TPD compliance, can you provide ingredient Lists?
How much of your flavor do I use?
Typical use rate is 1-4%. Thus, 1 part flavoring mixes with 25-100 parts of a flavorless base. Some flavors are so strong that they are best <1%
I need a COA for everything I use, can you provide this documentation?
Yes, for wholesale commercial requests.
Do your flavors contain any tobacco or nicotine?
No. Flavorah flavors are 100% tobacco free and 100% nicotine free. They are not made or derived from tobacco.
Are your natural tobacco flavors made from tobacco?
No. There is no tobacco used, or extracted to make Flavorah flavoring concentrates. To make these tobacco flavors, a chemist identifies the characteristic notes that make your brain think of tobacco, and concentrates those from natural and artificial sources, which is why those flavors taste like tobacco. Tobacco is not used in the extraction process.
Do you add Diacetyl? Do your flavors contain Diacetyl?
Flavorah does not add diacetyl to any of our flavors, however there are traces of natural diacetyl in some of our flavors. This trace occurs from the natural extraction processes. We have identified diacetyl down to 5ppm (parts per million) through Gas chromatography–mass spectrometry testing. Please see the safety page for detailed analysis.
Do you add acetyl propionyl or 2,3-pentanedione?
No. Flavorah does not add this compound, nor have we found any traces after lab testing. Please see the safety page for more information including 3rd party analysis.
Do your flavors contain acetoin?
Some of the Flavorah flavorings contain traces of acetoin and some of our flavors are compounded with acetoin. Please see the safety page for a comprehensive listing and PPM.
My Flavorah has some particulate in it. Is that ok?
Yes. A few flavors that are compounded with natural ingredients will have very fine particulate in them. Filtering them out reduces the flavor’s potency, so we prefer to leave them in. Other flavors can separate or get chunky crystals when exposed to cold temperatures. This is also ok, and can be solved simply by warming them up and shaking well.
I would like a wholesale account. How do I get one?
Please create an account and submit a ticket requesting one. A representative will upgrade your access to view our wholesale products and prices.
Can I re-bottle your flavors for resale online and in my store?

If your company shares this commitment, rebottling can be a great opportunity to serve your region and we would love to work with you provided you can meet certain quality and customer service requirements. Rebottlers must agree to our rebottling agreement and abide by certain policies to be authorized to distribute Flavorah flavorings. Your account representative will help you further the process.
I live outside of the United States. Can you ship to my country?
Yes. We ship by parcel, and by freight. If you have a freight forwarding agent in the US, we are happy to work with them to process your bulk shipments as well.
Where can I find recipes for your flavors?

What’s the starting percentage for mixing of your flavors?
3-5% is an average starting percentage. Some flavors can be used very effectively below 3%. Many flavors will become distorted if used above 5%.
I order from an ejuice retailer online, can I request that they start carrying Flavorah?
Of course, perhaps they are waiting for their customers to request Flavorah! Ask them to start carrying Flavorah flavors and we’ll set them up.
Do you plan to offer PG, VG or nicotine for your customers?
No, Flavorah is the flavoring for ejuice. We strictly sell flavorings. There are other companies, including some of our distribution partners, that serve as an excellent source for PG, VG and other DIY components.
