Flavorah in DIY or DIE – Noted: Episode 16 – Apple

23:50 FLV Red Apple – Concrete River describes it as a nice sweeter take on a red apple. The sweetness isn’t overbearing and candy. It’s not too dry or bitter but has some of a peel note, which dries it out just a little. One thing it does fairly well is it provides an authentic texture. It is one of the more solid apples. CheebaSteeba recommends this one.

25:55FLV Sour Apple – Out of the green apples, this is ConcreteRiver’s favorite. It has a sour note that is absolutely fantastic. The sour note is pretty portable at lower percentages into other recipes and flavors, without eating away at the other flavors.
26:58FLV Green Apple – Described as being in-between a candied and realistic flavor, with a bit more harsh to it.
27:18FLV Granny Smith – Described as a more aggressive flavor.
27:40FLV Apple – Yes, it still really exists and is its own thing! Haha.
28:06FLV Apple Filling – Noted as a combo of a red and rich cinnamon. A really great flavor. CheebaSteeba and ConcreteRiver both love this flavor.

37:50 FLV Apple Cranberry – CheebaSteeba says the apple note is good and the cranberry is alright. It might actually be better if you choose an apple and a regular cranberry separately and then mix them. ConcreteRiver is “kind of in love” with straight FLV Cranberry, opposed to Apple Cranberry.

49:10 – FLV Apple Cider – CheebaSteeba describes as pretty good. It does a good job emulating a cider. It has a little bit of spice, but not too heavy, and is on the wetter side of flavors. Says it relates the apple note to a red and mixes well. ConcreteRiver picks up a boozy note when he came back to it and it is actually kind of nice.

55:15 – MlNikon enthusiastically made a recipe to prove FLV Brie Cheese can be delicious (hehe). Check out the recipe here: Cranbrie Delight.

1:06:10 – FLV Apple Pop – Has a really heavy, sweet candied peel note, which mixes really well with a lot of darker kind-of musky fruits.
